All standard bases are rectangular solid 2" (nominal) oak and sturdy enough to last for generations. Each heirloom quality base includes roped brass pole sleeve, brass flange cover and finial (decorative top cap) with appropriate mounting hardware and steel support pipe ( all brass is polished and lacquered to retard tarnishing).
Oval bases available for 20% more.Oval bases are somewhat wider.
