Resident Carving Classes

You can carve your own carousel horse – we can teach you how! Carousel Magic’s carvers were the first to teach carousel-carving classes, back in 1992. We still offer the finest educational experience for carvers of any proficiency level who wish to learn the specific skills of carousel carving.

These excellent resident classes include 5 days of individualized instruction from our master carvers, bench space and the best Carousel Horse Carving Manual in existence. Join us for a week of hands-on carving. Classes can be arranged to fit your schedule, but please make reservations at least 6 weeks in advance so that we have time to construct your carving kit. Custom kits are available, of course!

Excellent accommodations are within walking distance of our shop. There are also many local areas of interest you may want to visit while you are in Mansfield. (Did you know that Johnny Appleseed once lived here?)

Class cost is $495, plus a stage 2 (roughed out) carving kit. A $50 deposit is due with your reservation. Balance of the class fee is due on first day of class.
