- #5 gouge 3/8" (9mm)
- #11 veiner 3/16" (4mm)
- #8 gouge 1/2" (13mm)
- #1 skew firmer 1/2" (13mm)
- #12 V parting tool 1/2" (13mm) or larger
- Mallet
- Sharpening stones
The listed sizes are approximate but you should stay quite close to the recommendations unless you are an experienced carver and know your needs.
Most carvers will add three or four more tools as they find out what works best for them as they carve.
