Carousel Magic is dedicated to helping other carvers create exquiste carousel figures. A ten year history of building high quality full-sized carousel carving kits and teaching carving classes for novice carvers make us the experts in helping people get exactly the carousel horse they want. Carousel Magic is the only major producer of full-size carousel horse carving kits in the world.

Our carving kits are built using the same construction methods used by the master carvers during the Golden Age of carousels. High quality basswood is laminated into a hollow body box (coffin construction). The finished kit consists of a hollow body block, head and neck blocks, four legs and a wooden tail all cut to shape, ready to carve and assemble. As an added bonus you recieve an Illustrated Instruction Manual, "Carving a Full-sized Carousel Animal", with each kit . Over a year in the writing, the how-to carving manual is generously illustrated with photographs and line drawings. It is not available separately.

In addition to carving kits, Carousel Magic creates many new figures each year. This has given us the expertise to provide you with the very best in kits and instruction.

After several years of building kits to custom order, Carousel Magic put our more popular figures in an exciting on-line color catalog. Carvers can choose from kits and figures in five sizes, four stages of completion and many styles. Included in the catalog are many of the accessories that make carousels so appealing - fluted brass poles, hardwood display stands, glass eyes, jewels, and horse hair tails.
